Service Description

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure using a fine scalpel to exfoliate the epidermis and rid the skin of fine villus hair (peach fuzz). This treatment will leave you with radiant, smooth, soft, glowing skin and includes: - Double skin cleanse - 2 passes of the face with the scalpel - Fruit enzyme peel (removes dead skin) - Application of serums and creams The approximate treatment duration is 45mins, this includes the initial consultation, treatment and aftercare. Benefits or dermaplaning: - Instant smooth, soft, radiant, glowing skin - Non evasive - Removes rough, dry skin - Removes villus hair - Smoother application of makeup - Deeper penetration of serums and creams - Can treat fine lines and wrinkles with regular treatment - Suitable in pregnancy (2nd & 3rd trimester) - Increases cell turnover in the skin - Face can appear slimmer afterwards Many clients are often concerned that the hair will grow back heavier and darker after dermaplaning, this is not the case. Hair will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment within 4-6 weeks. Risks & side effects Dermaplaning can create scraping, nicking, and/or abrading of the skin. Clients who have oily skin, inflamed acne, or are allergic to nickel are not ideal candidates for this treatment. You may experience redness, irritation, dryness, post treatment acne flares or folliculitis. Blemishes and/or cold sores may result after this treatment. Contraindications: - Hypersensitve skins - 1st Trimester pregnancy - Extremely thin skin - infectious skin conditions/disease - Allergy to nickel or stainless steel - Insulin dependent diabetic - must have letter from GP - Cancer - must have letter from GP - Recent injectables, acidic peels, operations or surgery - Autoimmune disease (Lupus, Addisons Disease, Graves Disease, Rheumatoid Arthirits) - Cold sores - Fresh bruising, cuts, abrasions - Recent scarring - Undiagnosed lumps and bumps - Acne medication (roaccutane) - Clients taking blood thinning medication - Clients on steroid based medications - Skin conditions such as Eczema or Psoriasis on the face
